Beams are not automatically handled, but they must be declared explicitely,
before the first spacing note involving them is coded. Two kinds of
macros are provided:
- fixed slope beams have an arbitrary slope chosen by the user in
the range -45% to +45% (by multiples of 5%);
- semi-automatic beams have their slope computed knowing the number
of
normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\noteskip over which they are supposed to extend, and knowing the
initial and final pitch of the notes they are supposed to link.
